Each Friday, older students pair up with younger students for Book Buddies and read books together. Today, some friends got a special treat.

Joey Reyes, currently serving as president on the Union Public Schools Board of Education, was the only candidate to file for Zone 1, which means he will automatically continue to serve on the school district for another term (five years.)

Second grade teacher Teresa McGinnis was named the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for Boevers Elementary.
